Sustainable Roots
History of Ecotours Boquilla
Since 1999, Ecotours Boquilla has been founded by fishermen from La Boquilla with the support of Fundación Uvita de Playa.
It promotes sustainable tourism in the wetlands of Juan Polo and La Virgen, creates employment through self-management projects, and protects the mangroves against logging and illegal occupation.
Today, we invite you to explore these ecosystems and experience the local culture, knowing that your visit contributes to social development and environmental conservation.
