DESCRIPTION:
Experience an authentic immersion in La Boquilla: learn alongside local fishermen how to weave fishing nets and craft crab traps, and participate in the preparation of these delicacies in a traditional community home.
Participants: Minimum 1 PAX – Maximum 20 PAX
THE EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
Personalized guidance: Native guide with tour in Spanish.
Typical lunch: Fresh fish, fried plantains, coconut rice, salad, and panela water.
Crabs, fish, or snails: Cooked in a native fisherman’s home.
Round-trip transportation: Only applies to northern and tourist area.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
Optional guidance: English and French-speaking guide.

Tour Experience

INTRODUCTION TO FISHING TASKS IN THE LAGOON
Upon arrival at the community, native fishermen showcase the fishing gear to be used and provide a brief explanation of the techniques and maneuvers employed for fishing in the coastal lagoon.
ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN FISHING
Visitors learn directly from the fishermen how to participate in a real fishing task, including setting up traps or “nazas” to catch crabs, which will be prepared later.
TRADITIONAL COMMUNITY COOKING
After the fishing task, you will have the opportunity to learn about and participate in the preparation of “jaibas al ajillo” (garlic crabs), following traditional recipes.
