DESCRIPTION:
Enjoy the authentic Caribbean rhythms at our percussion workshop in La Boquilla: cumbia, mapalé, and champeta, the typical dance of Cartagena. Immerse yourself in a cultural experience playing and dancing with traditional drums, while connecting with Afro-Colombian heritage and Caribbean folk music.

CANOE RIDE THROUGH THE MANGROVES
In the fishing village of La Boquilla, you will navigate in a handcrafted canoe guided by a native, discovering the flora and fauna of the mangrove ecosystem up close.
CARIBBEAN DRUM WORKSHOP
Youth from the drum school will lead you through an immersive experience, where you will participate in playing traditional drums and learn authentic rhythms such as cumbia, bullerengue, mapalé, and champeta to the sound of “gaitas” and maracas.
